Cardiac arrest among young people in India has emerged as a significant public health issue. Recent data reveal an increasing occurrence of sudden cardiac deaths (SCD) in individuals under the age of 40. This study seeks to explore the causes, risk factors, and trends associated with cardiac arrest in young Indians through a descriptive research methodology. Information was gathered from medical records, government publications, and existing studies to examine demographic trends, underlying health conditions, and lifestyle choices that contribute to this issue. The results underscore the impact of genetic factors, undiagnosed heart diseases, inactive lifestyles, and substance misuse on elevating cardiac risks. It is recommended that preventive measures, such as early screening and awareness initiatives, be implemented to address this escalating health crisis.
